How do I enter metro stations? There are two options:

1. Buying a single-trip ticket. This is a good option if you are going to use the metro just a couple of times.
2. Buying a “transportation card”. The card can be used for metro, bus and BRT lines in the city.

Fanny facts about public transportation mean in Iran:

In the metro, the first and last compartments are dedicated to women only. It means women can use all the compartments but men are not allowed to enter the women’s area.
In the busses, men sit in the front half and women in the back half.
In the BRTs, women go to the front part and men in the back.
I know it sounds confusing but these are all easily explained by signs in all stations and vehicles; you will do fine.
