Step on the Silk Road Journey

After having breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be transferred to the railway station to take a train to Kokand which takes about four hours. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your guide and start a city tour together. First, you visit the Amir Temur Square, the main boulevard of the city, Khudoyorkhan Palace, Jome Mosque, and Norbut Madrassah. After lunch in a traditional restaurant, you’ll have a ride to Rishtan and visit the ceramic workshop of Usmanov, a craftsman who creates colorful potteries. You can experience making a small ceramic object and also know about the history of this wonderful art. Then, drive to Margilan and visit Said Akhmad Khodja Madrassah. The classrooms of this ancient school are converted to small shops selling handicrafts like ceramic, silk carpets, woolen scarves, traditional magnets, and handmade antique souvenirs. Our next visit will be to the Yodgorlik, Silk Factory where you can learn how silk products and their colorful patterns are made. You’ll drive to Fergana and explore the biggest wholesale market in the district, Kumtepa Bazaar. You’ll be transferred to the hotel, check-in, and rest.

 You’ll have a ride to the border of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan which takes about 2 hours. After doing the needed formalities passing the border, you’ll be driven to the Osh city. You’ll have time for a short walking tour and visit Suleiman Mountain which is located in city centre. There are stories saying that prophet Solomon was buried at the foot of this mountain. In the evening, you’ll take a flight to Kyrgyzstan capital, Bishkek.

After having breakfast at the hotel, you’ll start a city tour of Bishkek. The first visit will be to Victory Square and Oak Park. Then, you’ll continue to the main square of Ala-Too and the National Philharmonic. After lunch, you’ll be transferred to the outstanding Issyk Kul Lake, the second-largest alpine lake in the world which is surrounded by beautiful mountains. You’ll enjoy spending the night in a resort by the lake which is famous as the “Pearl of Central Asia”.

Today, you’ll be transferred to the Kordai border and then drive to Kazakhstan's largest metropolis, Almaty. You’ll start your city tour with Panfilov park which is one of the oldest parks in Almaty. There, you can visit one of the highest wooden buildings in the world, Zenkov Cathedral, and also the Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame, dedicated to the memory of the fighters who died for the freedom and independence of the country. The next visits are the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Republic square, and the Independence Monument.  After lunch, you’ll have a transfer to Koke-Tobe hill to visit the TV tower and the wonderful panorama views of the hilltop. You’ll have time to wander around and take a look at souvenir shops selling colorful handicrafts. You’ll get back to the Almaty city center by cable car and enjoy the views.

Today, you’ll experience an adventurous excursion to the Charyn Canyon which is about two hours away from Almaty. This region is called Zhetisu which means The Land of Seven Rivers. You might remember Grand Canyon while you’re walking up to the final viewpoint. the Charyn River is one of the deepest rivers in the Northern Tien Shan mountains. After enjoying your day in the fantastic canyon, you need to get back to Almaty and take a one-hour flight to Shymkent which is close to the border. You’ll have a 2-hour drive to arrive at your hotel in Tashkent.

Welcome to Uzbekistan! Today is your first day in Tashkent and you’re going to start it with a full day in nature. You’ll be transferred to the mountains close to Charwak Lake and spend time freely trekking or enjoying the activities like horse riding, biking, and paragliding.  You’ll also stop in some small villages en route and observe the daily life of local people. You’ll have lunch in a resort by the lake and drive back to your hotel in Tashkent.

You’ll take a high-speed train to Bukhara and upon arrival, you’ll have a sightseeing tour. The first attraction is the complex of the Lyabi-Khauz ensemble consists of three main buildings. Next visits are Kalyan Mosque, Minaret, Miri-Arab Madrasah, Ulugbek, and Abdulazizkhan madrasah, and the famous trade domes. After lunch, you’ll have enough time to spend time in Bukhara freely, I suggest you explore the local market of Bukhara where you can socialize with locals directly and know more about their lifestyles.

After having your breakfast, you’ll visit some other attractions in Bukhara like Ismail Somoni and Chashma Ayub Mausoleum. After lunch, you’ll visit the Bolo Khouz complex located in the famous Registan Square. In the evening, you’ll leave Bukhara by train and head to the other historical famous city of Uzbekistan, Samarkand.

Today, you’ll have a full-day city tour of Samarkand to know more about the ancient times of Uzbekistan. You’ll start with the mausoleum of Gur Emir, the burial place of Taimur Lang. Then we explore the heart of Samarkand city center, Registan Square which is surrounded by historical attractions such as Madrassas of Ulugbek, Sher Dor, and Tillya-Kori. The next visit is to Bibi Khanym Mosque, the largest mosque in entire central Asia. BiBI khanym was Taimur's beloved wife. The Necropolis of Shahi Zinda is another visit of today. This ancient complex belongs to the most famous the Mausoleum of Kussam ibn Abbas, a cousin of the Prophet Muhammad. After lunch, you’ll go shopping at the Siyab Grand bazaar for about an hour and then you’ll be transferred to the railway station to take a high-speed train to the capital, Tashkent. You’ll drive to the hotel and rest.

Today is the last day of the tour, You'll be transferred to the airport based on your departure flight time.
