Muscat Highlights

Discover the Omani capital on a full-day visit, which combines must-see and relaxing activities. To make your day as comfortable as possible, you are accompanied by a local guide in a private car. First, your driver-guide will pick you up in the morning, around 9:30 AM, at your preferred location in Muscat. From there, start your day with a visit to the most emblematic monument of the capital: the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Anyone can enter the masterpiece of Sultan Qaboos, but please, respect modest dress (women should cover their hair with a scarf). Once you have enough wonders with the beauty of the Grand Mosque's yards and prayer hall, head toward another stunning monument: The Royal Opera House Muscat. Spend about half an hour admiring the fine interior and the beautiful gardens.

After this visit, head toward the most picturesque neighborhood: Muttrah. It is famous for its traditional market, where you can buy the best khanjar and frankincense. Count on your guide to finding for you the best handicraft shops! After the crowd of the souq, find some quietude by walking on the Muttrah Corniche and enjoying the view. It leads to the Old Muscat, where the Portuguese Forts stand, and one of the capital's most famous monuments: the Al-Alam Palace. This beautiful ceremonial palace cannot be visited, but the entrance is worth a stop for some pictures.
Plus, it leads you to your final stop of the day: Al Bustan Palace beach. This palace hotel is one of the most famous in Muscat and offers a unique environment. Its private beach is all yours for the afternoon to relax by the blue sea while admiring the view over the mountains.
By the end of the afternoon, your guide will drive you back to your preferred location in Muscat.
