Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, your driver-guide will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel. After getting some rest, the tour will start with a visit to Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, which was built to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the reign of Sultan Qaboos.
** Note 1: To enter the Grand Mosque, women need to be dressed modestly and wear a headscarf. Also, men are not allowed to wear shorts.

It's time to leave Muscat towards the southern parts of Oman to visit the turtle nesting site (2.5 hours road trip). On the way, you will visit Bimmah sinkhole and Finn Beach. After having lunch, we will drive to Sur and pass by the beautiful Wadi Tiwi village. While there , we will visit Raz Al Jinz, the sea turtle reserve.

After a short visit to Sur, a beautiful port city, we will visit the Dhow building factory to see the process of building a ship. There is also a museum in the factory which you can visit if you are interested. After lunch, we will head to the Wahiba Sands. En-route you will be impressed by the picturesque oasis, Wadi Bani Khalid, and you will spend an unforgettable night in the desert camp.

It's time to join your driver guide for a 4 hours drive to the northwest of Oman, towards Jebel Akhdar (Nizwa). You'll have a stop in the Ibra, where you can visit its local market and fully experience its rich rural life and different local cultures. Then you'll have some free time in the afternoon for strolling around and enjoying the beautiful countryside scenery.

After having breakfast, it's time to drive for around two hours towards the historic city of Nizwa. There, you will find the spectacular Nizwa Fort, which has been built in the 17th century and was once a bustling outdoor market. You will also visit the impressive Jabreen Castle in Jabrin, in which the exquisite wood-carved ceilings represents the extraordinary technique and artistic creativity of its builders.
After that, you will have a short stop at the World Heritage Site, Bahla Fort, and then we'll continue driving to the Jebel Shams for visiting its spectacular mountain scenery. At the end of the day, you'll get to your hotel in Jebel Shams.

Jebel Shams, located at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters, is one of the highest points in the eastern Arabian Peninsula. It is also known as the Grand Canyon of Oman. Stretching for 700 kilometers, it holds beautiful secluded valleys and so many fertile oases. This morning, you will walk along the canyon's edge while enjoying its beautiful scenery and then you will join your driver guide to visit the beautiful hillside town of Misfah and the ancient village of Al Hamra.

Finally, it's time to get back to Muscat. On the way, you will see terraces of a mountain village called Wadi Bani Awf, and beautiful castle in Nakhal will be the last spot of this memorable tour. After lunch, you'll continue the road trip back to Muscat, which takes about an hour.

As of March 21st, 2018, e-Visa has been the only available option to enter the Sultanate of Oman for tourism purposes. The embassies no longer issue the “classic” visa in order to reduce waiting times at the embassies and airports. Since December 2020, around 100 nationalities have been exempt from visa requirements for stays of up to 14 days.

The Omani e-Visa requires entry into the country within six months of issue date.
With a valid visa to Dubai, you can enter the Sultanate of Oman without needing any additional visas and you can stay for up to three weeks. Eligible countries: Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy, UK, Sweden, Greece, Austria, Ireland, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Belgium, Norway, Netherlands, Denmark, South Korea, Japan, Brunei, Malaysia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Vatican, Monaco, Andorra, San Marino.
The e-Visa allows one or more entries with up to 30 days of stay in Oman. In some cases, the duration of stay can be extended. Once your e-Visa is issued, you'll have six months to arrive in Oman.
Generally, e-Visas for Oman are issued within 72 hours from the time you submit your documents. This time frame is only an estimation and not something we can guarantee, as the process depends on the Sultanate’s administrative services.
