Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tbilisi

Arrive in Tbilisi and transfer to the hotel. You'll have free time to enjoy the city by yourself based on your arrival time.

Accommodation: Tabori Terrace or Similar 

Day 2: Tbilisi

Today you will meet your guide after breakfast. You'll start your walking tour around old Tbilisi, taking in the fascinating history of this long-overlooked region. You spend all day visiting historical attractions such as the Narikala citadel, Metekhi Temple, and Sioni Cathedral. After that, you may wish to take the funicular for panoramic views over the city. This evening is at your own leisure.

Day 3: Tbilisi - Kakheti - Sighnaghi - Tbilisi

We leave Tbilisi after breakfast and drive to the picturesque town of Sighnaghi which is located at the hilltop. We have time to stroll through this beautiful town enjoying the fabulous views towards the High Caucasus range in the distance. Then, we'll continue to a vineyard where you will have the opportunity to taste excellent Georgian social wines and enjoy traditional meals for lunch. This afternoon, continue to the spectacular Alaverdi Cathedral dating from the 11th Century and located impressively in the shadow of the Greater Caucasus range. Later, you'll visit the Apiary located nearby to Alaverdi Monastery where you will be able to taste natural-made organic honey. You'll drive back to Tbilisi via the forested slopes of the Gombori Pass. Your evening will be at leisure, you can enjoy your time as you wish.

Day 4: Tbilisi - Ananauri - Gergeti Church - Mtskheta - Tbilisi

Today you'll enjoy a full day in the Caucus mountains. Leaving the city early this morning, we join the Georgian Military Highway and snake our way up into the majestic scenery of the Higher Caucasus range. En route, we stop briefly at the castle complex of Ananauri, located on the Aragvi River, before continuing the climb through picturesque scenery and over the spectacular Jvari Pass where we can enjoy the view of the jaw-dropping surrounding peaks and valleys. On the way back to Tbilisi, you'll stop at Mtskheta, the famous ancient city of Georgia and a site of historical and cultural monuments. Mtskheta is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the 11th-century Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and also the Jvari Monastery.

You'll leave Tbilisi to the airport according to your departure flight time.

Georgia has no general dress code or clothing limitations, except when you visit religious places like churches or monasteries. Women have to cover their legs, head, and shoulders. Men are required to cover their legs.
