Today, you’re invited to take part in the religious life of Qom’s citizens.
In this experience, after picking you up at Qom’s city gate (Haftad-o-Do Tan Square) at 9 AM, we go to Fatima Masumeh Shrine, a sacred pilgrimage site with hundreds of years in age. Although it was once a modest corner for prayer, today she stands tall with a bright dome covered in gold; a stunning sight against the blue background of the sky.
We go through all the nooks and crannies of this shrine, where you get to enjoy and photograph its beautiful architecture, and delicate tile and mirror art that cover its interior.
Afterwards, we’ll have a short walk to Imam Hasan Askari Mosque, whose original building ages back to the 12th century. Here, away from the hustle and bustle of the crowd, you get to enjoy the mastery and artistry gone into designing and decorating a mosque so fine and elegant.
Both holy sites visited during this experience make for relaxing meditation sites and emit a unique spirituality. This is also a great chance to have a glimpse of the real Islam amid the local people.
In the end, if you wish, we’ll go to a cozy restaurant to enjoy some yummy traditional dishes and unwind.
