Day 2: Cairo to Aswan

Today's itinerary includes a visit to the renowned Pyramids of Giza, recognized as one of the world's seven wonders, where you can immerse yourself in the history of these colossal structures. Following this, you will tour the Egyptian Museum. Later in the evening, you will board an overnight train to Aswan, with a dinner and breakfast meal provided in a simple airline-style tray.

Day 3: Aswan

Upon your early morning arrival in Aswan via train, you'll have some leisure time to explore the bustling souk or take a stroll along the scenic Nile. Following this, you'll embark on a boat to visit one of the picturesque Nile islands and explore a Nubian village. Take a stroll around the charming community before relishing a scrumptious traditional dinner at a local household.

Day 4: Aswan

The second day of your Aswan visit will involve exploring one of the area's most captivating sites - the Temple of Abu Simbel. Additionally, you can consider joining a half-day excursion to see the Unfinished Obelisk, High Dam, and Philae Temple. For a deeper understanding of the local culture, you can visit the contemporary Nubian Museum.

Day 5: Aswan to Kom Ombo

Today's itinerary offers an unforgettable adventure as you board a traditional Nile sailboat known as a felucca, for a relaxing and enjoyable day on the river, followed by a night of stargazing. As feluccas are basic, you will sleep under the open air on the deck of the boat. This tranquil and traditional journey down the Nile offers a full day of relaxation and enjoyment, as you make your way to the town of Kom Ombo.

The best time to visit Egypt is during the winter, from October to April. The temperatures are mild and pleasant, although evenings can become quite cool. December through January are the peak tourist months so expect large crowds if traveling at this time. The best time to enjoy the beaches, without having to endure the large crowds of summer tourists, would be from March to May. Temperatures at this time are warm and tourist sites are not too crowded.
