If you're thinking about doing Highlights of Jordan... DO IT! Amazing experience.
I just completed the 8-day Highlights of Jordan tour, and WOW. What an incredible country and this tour was a perfect way to see it. Our guide Khadir was knowledgeable, funny, approachable, and passionate, doing everything possible to make our experience 10/10. Each day was unique and packed with things to do and a few early starts, but coupled with relaxed nights, this was no problem - it's easy to get up early when you are excited about the day! My highlights were the day at Petra and our time in Wadi Rum, although every day was great. I did almost all of the optional extras as they seemed a no-brainer to make the most of your time. Our group was a good size, the transport was comfortable, the food was delicious (if you like hummus + falafel, you have come to the right place), and everything was organized well. 5* is not enough; I will happily book with 1stQuest again. Once a lifetime trip to Jordan with the women's only expedition, I am still riding on a high a week after returning! A fantastic itinerary that allows you to connect with the people and the culture authentically. Amany is an amazingly enthusiastic and motivated guide who did her all to teach us all about the Berber community. Breathtaking scenes ground you in nature and take you a million miles away from the daily rat race. This trip is for you if you want to experience beautiful food and music and welcome local people.
I have taken some tours with 1stquest, most recently Egypt and Jordan, and have been satisfied once. As soon as I decided to travel to Uzbekistan, I contacted them, and a team member got back to me at the earliest opportunity. Trip itineraries offer plenty of optional activities, the guides are professional, and the price is competitive. 1st Quest is also committed to helping local people and giving back to their communities.

Our tour guide did a great job of creating a real family atmosphere and I know I have made some friends for life.
Everything with the trip went smoothly, transports were on time, and issues were handled with quiet efficiency. We used 1stquest because my son had previously used their service with a similar experience.
I'm not generally a fan of organized groups, as we often prefer something more customized and the helpful 1stquest helped us alot.
I had 2 weeks trip to Uzbekistan. I enjoyed the trip, except the heat reached 40 degrees. It was well planned, and our guide was excellent and helpful, except that he asked each participant on the 1st day of the trip to pay him to cover tips to hotel staff. When I said this was not mentioned in the trip, he said it is optional but will help the community.
